Barbara met Donald while they were both serving in the United States Air Force in the 1950's.

I got your earlier email while I was in Church. Mom was fine Monday AM at 830 when they brought her some medicine and at 920 when they came to check her blood sugar she had no pulse and was not breathing. They got her back but it took a while and she had to be intubated. After a few days they tested and found very little brain activity (just the brain stem) and we gathered David, Patsy and Robert in along with Mom's niece from Alabama. We took her off life support Friday at 6:00 PM and they had her breathe straight oxygen and gave her pain medications on a regular basis.

She just slowly, slowly faded away and by 2:30 am she stopped breathing completely. As per her wishes she will be cremated and put under rose bushes (in various locations). We will have a small ceremony tomorrow AM at Church and will eventually inter some of her ashes at the National Veteran's Cemetery in Houston.

I'd appreciate it if you could spread this info to concerned parties.
