Utica Daily Press, 5 Aug 1914: LOUIS DURGEE OF CAMDEN / ... Camden, Aug. 4-- At about 11 o'clock this morning occurred the death of Louis Durgee at his home on Railroad ST. He had been suffering for about three months with Bright's disease and dropsy, which caused his death. Mr. Durgee was born in Pine Meadows 59 years ago. When but a boy the family moved to Camden, where he had made his home ever since his coming. He had been employed in Conant's Furniture factory for the last 35 years and was an earnest and diligent worker. March 25, 1891, he was married to Miss Carrie Buxton. He is survived by his wife, a sister, and two children. The funeral will be held from the Presbyterian Church... Thursday afternoon.

Rome Daily Sentinel, 7 Aug 1914: TWO FUNERALS IN CAMDEN Camden, Aug. 7-- The funeral of Lewis Durgee, who died Tuesday, was held yesterday at 2:30 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church. Rev. L. G. Colson, pastor of the church, officiated, and burial was made in Forest Park cemetery.
