Overview

Levi Kilgore was born in Peach bottom township, York County, PA. Here he made his living as a distiller of apple brandy, but eventually moved to Lower Chanceford with his brother William. The two went into farming together, and owned 500 acres of land. levi also was engaged in the shadfishery on the Susquehannah. They lived together in a large stone house until their deaths. Levi left five children:
