Obituary, Found in The Atlanta Constitution Tuesday August 25, 1953

“Leverett E. Waters Funeral services for Leverett Edley Waters, 73, former Atlan- tan, who died Sunday in Green- ville, S. C., after a frief ill- ness, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of J. Austin Dillon Co. burial will be n the Bethel Baptist Chruchyard near Smyrna. A native of Cobb County, Mr. Waters lived here 18 years before moving to Greenville, S. C. in 1943. He was a barber. Surviving are three sons, Mil- ton, L. C. and Jack F. Waters, Atlanta; three daughters, Mrs. Chris Bouchillon, Greenville, S. C.; Mrs. E. F. Underwood, Grif- fin, and Mrs. Mack Huyler, At- lanta; two brothers, Millard Wat- ers and John M. Whitlock, At- lanta; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence D. Camp, Houston, Texas; four grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.”
