Birth
Many undocumented sources give Keziah an estimated birth date of 1800 and make her the oldest of Isham Meadow's three daughters, with her sister Edda the second daughter, born about 1810. It is more likely, however, that Edda is the oldest daughter, with Keziah being the second daughter.
First, in 1840 both Keziah and Edda were married and living in different states with their respective husbands. Edda's husband George Marlow's household includes a female between the ages of 40-49, which would support a birthdate of either 1800 or 1810 for Edda. However Keziah's husband Isaac Wood's household includes a female between the ages of 30-39,[2] which makes Keziah younger than Edda by as much as 10 years.
With Keziah as the second daughter of Isham and Sally Meadows, then she has a birth date between 1801-1809, based on the 1840 census. Based on the 1820 Census,[4] that range can be narrowed slightly, to between 1804-1809. Given the estimated birth dates of her siblings, Keziah was probably born about 1807, which would have made her approximately fifteen years of age at the time of her marriage, the same approximate age at which her two sisters also married. Since her parents were in Kentucky by 1805, Keziah was most likely born in Kentucky.
1830s
Keziah and her husband likely spent much of the 1830s in what is now Grant and Iowa counties in Wisconsin, along with Keziah's sister Polly and her brother Jackson, and where Isaac Wood was a lead miner, like Keziah's brother-in-law James Jones.
