"Mrs. Ned C. Wardwell Mrs. Kate (Abbott) Wardwell, 68, of 37 Highland Avenue, West Hartford, wife of Ned C. Wardwell, died Friday night at Hartford Hospital. She was a member of the West Hartford Literary Club. Besides her husband, she leaves two nephews in Oshkosh, Wis., and several cousins. The funeral will be Monday at 3 p.m. at the funeral home of Newkirk & Whitney, 776 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford. The body will be placed in a vault in Fairview Cemetery. Burial will take place in the Spring in Westchester, N.Y. (sic)" The Hartford Courant 08 February 1936
