Julia Ruth Winans

WARREN -- Miss Julia Ruth Winans, 96, died at 9:05 a.m. Saturday at the Gillette Nursing Home. She formerly lived on Homewood Drive in Warren.
Miss Winans, who was a lifelong Trumbull County resident, was born Sept. 12, 1896 in West Mecca, a daughter of Sidney and Alice (Bennett) Winans.
She retired in 1962 from General Electric's Ohio Lamp Plant where she had worked for 42 years.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Olive Mae O'Neill of Warren. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Winans.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Shafer-Winans Funeral Home in Warren. There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bazetta Christian Church.
