I found this among Lois HOUCK McNAMARA's belongings; notes written about her family history. 'Julia [FARR] HOWARD was left an orphan at age of 4 years. She went to live with her sister, Amelia, in Pennsylvania. Julia's maiden name of FARR. Her father's name was Jerome, her mother's, Angelina, in Pa. [Pennsylvania] somewhere. She had sisters and brother but lost track of them. Jerome was on brother. Obituary: 'Mrs. Julia Farr HOWARD, widow of Cary HOWARD died Thursday... at her residence...She had been in failing health for a long time. Mrs. HOWARD was born December 25, 1860 at Plattsburg and had resided here for 30 years and previously in the town of Arkwright. She was a member of the United Brethren church at Beaver Dam. She is survived by the following children: Miss Maude HOWARD, Herbert HOWARD and Mrs. Myrtle WENTWORTH of Villenova, Mrs. Charles THOMPSON of Charlotte, Mrs. Nettie HOUCK and Mrs. Alice PALMER of Arkwright.
