Lived in Sturbridge, MA at time of Revolution. A record of donations to the poeple of Boston shows that Nathaniel WALKER, Jr. gave 3 shillings on 7 Feb 1774 and Nathaniel and Josiah WALKER gave 15 shillings on 28 Feb 1774. (NEHGR Vol 30, pg 377) Josiah bought approxiamately 180 acres of land in Belchertown, MA from Abner SMITH on 2 June 1763. This land was adjacent to land belonging to his father, Capt Nathaniel WALKER. Dee was recorded in Hampshire Co. book 3, pg 18. ( Abstract S-20m in files of David L. Haynes). On 1 June 1772, he bought approx 185 acres of land in Hatfiled, MA from Oliver Partridge (prob. son of Edward, son of Col Samuel, son of William. See Hadley Families, pg 108 & 109). (Deed abstract S-23). In 1783, he purchased Sturbridge property left to his sisters Lydia aznd Submit by his father. This was approx 18 acres and dee was not witnessed or recorded. (See abstract S-18.) On 4 July 1804, he purchased approx 100 acres of land in Middlefield, MA from Elijah WHITE (prob husband of Beulah WALKER). Deed recorded in Hampshire Co. Book 21, pg 410. See abstract S-22. Died of consumption. (VR of Sturbridge, MA to 1850)
