24. JOSIAH4 ARMSTRONG (LANCELOT (LANTY)3, WILLIAM2, JOHN1) was born 1779 in Area that became the Southwest Territory in 1790 and Tennessee in 1796, and died Bet. 1856 - 1857 in Knox County TN. He married ELIZABETH CONNER 22 Aug 1801 in Knox County TN. She was born 1777 in Virginia, and died 31 Aug 1852.

Notes for ELIZABETH CONNER: The original record book of Third Creek Baptist Church, Knox County TN, lists on page 33 that Elizabeth Armstrong was received into membership "by experience" on the second Saturday of October 1838. No other members of her family were shown as added to the membership rolls. However, the book does record on page 161 the death of Polly Armstrong on 25 May 1850. Elizabeth Armstrong's death on 31Aug 1852 is recorded three names under her daughter's name.
