[Kept by Rev. Jonathan Bascom pastor of Congregation Church of South Precinct of Eastham which incorporated as Orelans in 1797.]
1775.
Joshua Hopkins, j'r
[No specific dates are listed, though this is 17th out of 22 for the year 1775. Joshua was mentioned as deceased in his father's will of 15 Nov 1775 (Source:MD, p. 20:67), and it is not unlikely that Joshua's death may have precipitated the rewriting of the father's will. Source:Paine, Josiah. Stephen Hopkins, p. 9, says, "He was taken ill of a mental disorder which caused his death the latter part of 1775."]
