Josephine E. Rea, age 72, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 1995 at her home. She was born on May 7, 1923 to Frederick and Pauline (Priglmeier) Hoffman in Lastrup, MN. Josephine was educated in Minnesota School. On December 2, 1950, she was united in marriage to Stanley B. Rea in Columbus, OH. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Catholic Church, Sun Prairie and its Saint Zita Circle, member of Sun Prairie Colonial Club, American Legion Auxiliary Post #333, and the Dane County Homemakers. She was employed for 7 years by the Minneapolis Honeywell Co., and for 20 years by the Sun Prairie School District. Josephine is survived by a daughter, Joyce of Sun Prairie; two sons, Al (Joyce) of San Francisco, and James (Amy) of Minneapolis; two grandsons, Mitchell and Michael; four brothers, Herman, Ernest, Andrew, and Conrad; and numerous nieces; nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, in 1990; her parents; a sister, Caroline Wagner; and a brother, Bernard Hoffman. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 1995. Father James Hinnen will officiate. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 1995 at the Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace in Sun Prairie.
