    Abstract:

    Jasper Joseph Writer, age 70y 6m 9d; born 17 Sept. 1856 in Pennsylvania; died 23 March 1927 at Roxbury, Ks.; in early childhood moved to Effingham Co., Ill.

    He married 4 Feb. 1879, to Miss Rachel Jane De Bolt (died 3 years ago); had four children. In 1885, moved to Kansas and resided near Roxbury.

    Preceded in death by wife and seven brothers and sisters. Survived by brother, F. B. Writer (Canton, Okla.); daughter, Mrs. Bessie Tolle (Roxbury); daughter, Mrs. Gean Bremen (Roxbury); son, Robert O. Writer (Naches, Wash.); son, Ross J. Writer (Roxbury); 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services at home 2 p.m. Saturday, 26 March 1927, with Rev. Attree Smith (Salina) conducting and music by mixed quartet. Interred at Roxbury Cemetery.
