A complaint against Joseph and John Hold was made 7 Aug 1666 for “tumultuous carriage and speaking against the invliction of punishment upon two delinquents,” and they were fined 20s. In 1685, he was excused from watching “for being an impotent man, having lost the use of one of his feet, and now having two sons in the public service”. (Tuttle)
