Lieut Joseph Reed, s/o Ralph Reed, grandson of William Reed, birth not found, d. 26 Dec 1741, married (record not found, proved by deeds) Phebe Walker. Will of Joseph Reed, dated 18 Apr 1737, probated 29 Mar 1742, mentions wife Phebe Reed; three daughters Phebe Pierce (according to text, wife of James), Susanna Fowle and Abigail Reed; grandchild Joseph Reed son of his son Joseph (Josiah Converse guardian); son Nathaniel double share, to take care of Abigail (non compos mentis). Deeds show there was also a son Joshua, deceased before 1735.
