Cumberland County, NJ Deed: This Indenture made this twenty sixth Day of September in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty Seven Between Joseph Jones of the Township of Hopewell & Mary his Wife and Armstrong Jones of the Township of Greenwich and Leah his Wife, all of the County of Cumberland & State of New Jersey, of the One Party, and John Jones of the said Township of Greenwich & County & State afs'd, Farmer of the other Party. Witnesseth that the said Joseph Jones & his Wife & Armstrong Jones & his Wife for and in Consideration of the sum of Seventy two Pounds Ten Shillings of good lawful Money of said State to them in Hand, by the said John Jones well & truly paid, at & immediately before the Sealing & Delivery hereof the Receipts of which is hereby owned & acknowledged by the said Joseph Jones & Wife and Armstrong Jones & Wife & themselves therewith to be fully satisfied contented & paid Have granted bargained, sold & forever quitted Claim & by these Presents Do grant bargain sell & forever quit claim unto the said John Jones his Heirs & Assigns forever a certain Lot of Land & Premises Situate, lying and being in Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, and joins on the South by a Lot lately belonging to Edward Barrot decd. the same joining on Front Street, Twenty feet & in Depth One Hundred & Fifty Feet, towards Swanson Street together with all and singuilar the Buildings, Alleys, Capages, Improvements, Herenitaments & Appurtenances to the same Lot or Piece of Ground belonging or in anywise appertaining and also all the Estate Right Title or Intereftuse Possession Property Claim & Demand whatsoever of the said Joseph Jones & his Wife & Armstrong Jones & his Wife either in Law or Equity of in or to the same, or of and to any Part & Parcel thereof or of in or to any Part or Parcil of a certain annual Rent Charge or Ground Rent due or that may become due from the Estate of Joseph Wharton deceased or now payable by Charles Wharton Acting Executor to the said Deceased for the Sum of Hour Pounds two Shillings V. Aamesm? to which as well as to the aforesaid Lota of Ground the aforenamed Joseph Jones & Armstrong Jones became seized together with their Brother the aforesaid John Jones, as Co-Heirs to their Mother Elizabeth Jones decd., formerly Elizabeth Horsey as by Writings duly executed & recorded may appear to have and to hold the above described Lot of Ground with the Hereditqments Premises & Appurtenances thereunto belonging as also the above mentioned annual Ground Rent or Rent Charge unto the said John Jones his Heirs & Assigns to & for the only proper use Benefit & Behoof of the said John Jones his Heirs & Assigns forever...
