Sacred to the memory of Joseph Hlll Esq. of this Parish who departed this life on 10th day of July 1829 aged 64 years.
to uprightness and integrity of character were added a benevolence and hospitality which rendered him deservedly esteemed in life and lamented in death; as a father his kindness and affection live daily in the memory of his children who have caused this monument to be erected as a testimony of their gratitude.
His mortal remains lie interred in the family vault in the churchyard together with those of Elizabeth his wife who died on the 31st May 1801 aged 39 years.
Also of Joseph their infant child who died on the 29th October 1792.
Also of ?their son who died 9th September 1816 aged 17 years.
Also of Joseph Hill Esq. their son who departed this life on the 5th day of November 1836 aged 40 years.
Also of their daughter Anna Maria who departed this life on the 5th day of December 1836 aged 35 years.
Also of Elizabeth Hill their eldest daughter who departed this life on the 2nd day of August 1863 aged 69 years.
Also of Mary Shore wife of John Hill who departed this life on the 17 June 1879 aged 64 years.
Also of ? hill Esq son of Joseph and Eliz. Hill who departed this life on the 23 April 1880 aged 82 years.
Also of Julia Hill daughter of Joseph and Eliz Hill who departed this life on the 8th May 1886 aged 91 years."
