I have searched every document I can find, read every census, puzzled over every known Greer in the world, and I am pretty convinced that my Charlotte Greer, who married James Jones in TN, 1821, and went to MO. in 1834, is either the Unknown female of 1798, or the Unknown female of 1805. (Her census info and her gravestone disagree) Can anyone prove, or disprove, my decision? If you can do either, please help. Insanity is lurking in the shadows!

Insanity is not the problem, I think it is anger. I am descended from Archibald Greer. He had a brother Robert one was born on one of the Unknown male dates you have. According to my Great Aunt (now deceased) Archibald and the other children were raised by the Carter family after Sarah died and Joseph went of "to be a mountain man again." The children had little or no contact with the father ever again. Do you think (if my Aunt is correct) that we might find them lurking in the Carter census records??? I am so overjoyed to find children listed for Joseph after two years of searching for any clue. I was about to dig up my Aunt and ask her why the heck she hadn't given me more data. I would be happy to share data on Archibald and his brother Robert. By the way I think I have a printed death notice for Sarah. No children mentioned. Best Myra
