not in father's will 1768 Anglican His Loyalist Memorial (plea for compensation) says he is from North Castle, Westchester Co., NY, escaped from there Mar 1781 and joined army in NY. Wife and family joined him the following month, they embarked from NY to St. John Sept 1783. Dated 23 Feb 1786 at St John's, claimed cattle etc. Witnesses Francis and Thomas Flewelling.
