Wardell, Lt. Col. U.S. Army Ret. : Faulconer, Joseph, entered service 1778 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, where born 11/5/1757; moved in 1779 to area that was later Lexington, Kentucky, thence to Craig's Station & entered service there in 1780; moved to Gilbert Creek Station (area later became Lincoln County, Kentucky) where entered service in 1781; moved in 1784 to Fayette County, Kentucky where granted Pension in 1833; died there on 6/26/1833; married 9/30/1776 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia to Frances who was born 5/1761; widow granted Pension 1838 in Fayette County, Kentucky; died 10/21/1845 leaving son Helson (5th child, born 10/20/1785) of that County; other children mentioned but not named; query letter in file 1823 from descendant Mrs. W.R.
