Notes taken from: Crossman Genealogy-Bill Crossman Joseph came to Easton in 1713 from Bridgewater, where he was residing temporarily with his sisters. He was a quiet, pious, influential citizen and became an elder in the church. Known as Joseph, Sr., he was Town Treasurer in 1747; Corp'l in the first military company of Easton in 1757. He died in 1776 at the age of 86, and is buried in the old cemetery near the Green. (The Church Street Cemetery). The name has now entirely disappeared from the Town. Submission: |
