BIOGRAPHY: Some Account of the Cone Family in America Principally of the Descendants of William Cone Compiled by William Whitney Cone Brandsville, Missouri Printed by Crane & Company Topeka, Kansas 1903 Page 15 - 16 Joseph Cone, son of Daniel Cone [4] and Mary Gates, b. Mar. 20, 1711, in East Haddam, Conn., baptized Mar. 30, 1714, m. Mary Smith, Nov. 1, 1734. She was dau. of Matthew Smith and Sarah Mack; b. East Haddam 1713, and d. same place Mar. 4, 1802, aged 89 years. He died on the same farm where he was born, Feb. 1, 1804, aged 93 years. They were both members of the Congregational Church in Millington parish for over 65 years.
