Joseph-Augustin, born 1710. On p. 2418 (Louisiana), he is listed with name Augustin BERGERON, born 1710, son of Barthelémy & Genevieve SERREAU dit SAINT-AUBIN. He married around 1730 to Marie-Rose MELANSON [no parents given]; daughter Elizabeth born 1752. At the peace treaty of 1763 he was prisoner of the English at Halifax with his wife and five children. Also: Augustin [BERGERON], died on 30 Aug 1765 "au premier camp d'en bas [at the first place of location below]," buried on 31 Aug 1765 by Fr. Jean FRANCOIS, "cure de la nouvell Acadie," [pastor of the new Acadia]. Recorded at St. Martin Church (SM Ch.: Slave Funderal Register, v.1, #17).
