Botetourt County Court Minutes:

• August 1775 - Ord. that Samuel Brown, Joseph Anderson, Patrick Lewis and Hugh Miller or any three of them being first sworn do view the way from the Sweet Springs road on Dunlop's Creek to Camp Union and make report thereof the court.

• July 1781 - Joseph Anderson is exempted from paying County levy in future on acct. of his age & infirmity.
