↑ Source:Randall, Eunice Kelley Gidley. David O'Killia the Immigrant of Old Yarmouth, Massachusetts with His Descendants and Allied Families, 1652-1962, p. 67, says Jonathan Kelley d. 15 Feb 1835, m. Tabitha Doane who d. 14 Jul 1817. Compare to Source:Hawes, James W. Edmond Hawes of Yarmouth, Massachusetts, an Emigrant to America in 1635, p. 188, which shows the following child of Samuel Hawes and Molly Doane: "Tabitha Doane, b. July 14, 1817; m. Jonathan Kelley, of Dennis". It would be an odd coincidence that one Tabitha Doane died on the exact same day a Tabitha Doane (Hawes) was born. Since no records for the first couple are found, no children assigned them by Randall, and given her penchant for errors, it seems this is just another error by her. Clearly this is a different Jonathan Kelley. Randall does show this other Jonathan Kelley on p. 254, and does show him marrying Tabitha D. Hawes. Source:Doane, Alfred Alder. Doane Family: I. Deacon John Doane, of Plymouth, II. Doctor John Done, of Maryland, and Their Descendants show no Tabitha Doane marrying a Jonathan Kelley, under any of the various spellings.
