Jonathan Bryant [#3], s/o John and Abigail (Bryant) Bryant, b. Plymouth 3 Feb 1673 [sic, this is brother's Samuel's birth and this source gives them both the same birthdate, but the Plymouth records show that is not so], m. (1) Plymouth 27 Feb 1700/1 "Margret" West, m. (2) 12 Nov 1726 Mary (Phinney) Eastland. Probate of Jonathan Bryant of Plymouth in 1730, insolvent so no list of heirs, mentioning "Mrs. Mary Bryant Relict Widow of Mr. Jonathan Bryant late of sd Plimouth Innholder Deceased", is probably a different person, the one who m. 1716 Mary Little, as it appears this Jonathan Bryant witnessed a deed in Halifax in 1739.
[Note: this deed Plymouth vol. 19, p. 112 shows Jonathan Bryant of Plymouth Innholder selling property 1 Sep 1725 and the acknowledgment says "Mary his wife" gave up her right. This is before Margery died, and hence before the Jonathan of this page m. Mary (Phinney) Eastland. While the Jonathan who married Mary Little has not been studied, other deeds surveyed appear to show Jonathan Bryant of Pembroke selling land with Charles Little (Vol. 15, p. 61), and before that, Jonathan Bryant of Pembroke carpenter, selling land (Vol. 14, p. 215), and before that, Jonathan Bryant of Scituate, carpenter, selling land (Vol. 9, p. 320). This suggests that the man of the probate file, and Innholder, is (Person:Jonathan Bryant (4)).]
[Further note: the deed witnessed in 1739 by Jonathan Bryant is Vol. 37, p. 158. The connection being that Jonathan's daughter Abigail Bryant is thought to have married Perez Waterman, who was one of the executors of this deed.]
