Not to be confused with John Wilson, son of Robert Wilson and Mary Vanderhoef, who died in the "Battle of Blue Licks" on 20 August 1782.
Note: there were two different John Wilson's that are listed as Privates, both being killed at the Battle of Blue Licks, so it is possible that this John Wilson was the other one. Additional research necessary.
