Hance, Gen. Smallwood, Capt. Benjamin Johnson, Lieut. Richard White, Lieut. Belfield Cave, Capt. May Burton, Lieut. Benjamin Smith, Col. Mathews, Major Lomax, Capt. John Beadles; was at Cornwallis' surrender. Richard White served with him.

Williams, John - born 1754 in Calvert County, Maryland, where entered service 1776 in Maryland regiment; entered service 1780 in Orange County, Virginia, where he resided, in Virginia regiment; served at Battle of Germantown & Siege of Yorktown; granted Pension 1832 in Orange County, Virginia; Richard White, Michael Catterton & William Catterton made affidavit there then per County Justice of the Peace James Simms; William Wait made affidavit there then that he served in Revolutionary War with soldier; William Martin & Robert Mansfield made affidavit there then as freeholders; soldier made affidavit 1833 per County Justice of the Peace Daniel White; clergyman Joseph A. Mansfield & Minor Rucker made affidavit there then; soldier died 10/18/1837; married 1784-85 to Mildred, Albemarle County, Virginia, by Parson Murray; widow granted Pension 1841 age 84 in Orange County, Virginia, per County Justice of the Peace Robert N. Brooking; died 11/10/1841; Joseph Williams (no kinship given) age 48 was administrator of her estate there in 1843, per County Justice of the Peace James B. Newman. F-W19635, R2590.
