The death record of John G. Seaver in Massachusetts Vital Records, Volume 121, page 32, says he died in Springfield MA on 2 July 1858, age 53, of scrofula consumption. His birthplace was listed as CT, with unknown parents, and he resided in a boardinghouse. [FHL Microfilm 0,060,174]. On 27 November 1827, John G. Seaver of Monson, yeoman, sold land for $200 paid by Ephraim Trumbull of Monson, yeoman. The land was 16 acres in northwest Monson, bounded … east on land of John Trumbull and the great meadow … held by deed of 27 November 1827 by Ephraim Trumbull. The deed was signed by John Seaver and wife Clarissa released her dower rights. The witnesses were Jonathan R. Flynt and Rufus Flynt (Hampden County (Massachusetts) Land Records, Volume 77, Page 655, abstracted from FHL Microfilm 849,195, provided by Margaret Jenks). In the 1830 United States Census, John Seaver was a head of household in Stafford, Middlesex County, Connecticut. The household included two free white males under age 5, one free white male aged 20 to 30, one free white female under age 5, one free white female aged 20 to 30 and one free white female aged 40 to 50 (1830 United States Census, Middlesex County, Connecticut, Population Schedule, Stafford, Page 225, FHL Microfilm 0,002,801). On 25 October 1842, Pearley Seaver of Monroe Twp., Clark County, Indiana, John G. Seaver of Holland and Hiram B. Seaver of Monson, sold land in Monson for $39 paid by Lathrop Clark of Monson. The land was in the west part of Monson, real estate of John Seaver, late of Monson, deceased. The deed was signed by Pearley Seaver, John G. Seaver, Hiram B. Seaver (Hampden County (Massachusetts) Land Records, Volume 119, Page 150, abstracted from FHL Microfilm 0,849,219, provided by Margaret Jenks). In the 1850 U.S. Census, the John G. Seaver (age 45, born VT, no occupation) family lived in Chicopee, Hampden County, MA. The household includes his wife Amy (age 37, born CT), Susannah M. (age 10, born MA), Charles (age 3, born MA), and Tryphena (age 1, born MA). [FHL Microfilm 0,443,538, pg. 223, family 3420]. In the 1900 US Census, Amy Seaver (head, white, female, born Jul 1812, age 87, widow, 2 children born, 1 living, born CT, parents born CT) and granddaughter Effie Turner (white, female, born Nov 1879, age 20, single, born MA, father born CT, mother born MA, at school) resided in Palmer, Hampden County, Massachusetts [National Archives Microfilm Series T623, Roll 651, ED 561, Sheet 1, Line 68].
