Resided in Rehoboth until 1691, when he removed to Pomfret, Conn. He was a “leading military spirit,” “a bold and active pioneer.” His military services were acknowledged by the colonial governments. Until 1715, his church connections were at Woodstock. Vide Miss Larned’s excellent History of Windham County, conn. He m. Dec. 3, 1689, Sarah, daughter of Samuel Peck, born Feb 2, 1669 and died Oct. 1, 1738. Maj John Sabin d. Oct. 25, 1742.
