John Rush was the father of Susannah (Rush), was the ancestor of a noted Pennsylvania family of the celebrated Dr. Benjamin Rush, signer of the Declaration of Independence. John Rush is said to have been a Captain of Horse of the Cromwellian Army. He married at Horton, Oxfordshire, Susannah Lucas, 1648.
