[Note: in a correction found Source:NEHGR, p. 112:154, the same author points out he was wrong in identifying Esther's parents as Jonathan Barnes and Elizabeth Hedge, which is clear from birth dates. He also points out that Jonathan's father, John Barnes, in his will dated 6 Mar 1667/68, calls Esther Rickard his "kinswoman". (Which means Source:Davis, William T. Ancient Landmarks of Plymouth, p. 2:12, is also wrong in identifying Esther as the daughter of John Barnes.)]
