John Thomas Renwick Dies Saturday NightS6
The sudden death of John Thomas Renwick on Saturday evening about 8:30 o'clock, at his home on the DeKalb road, was a great shock to his family, and many friends. He was at work in his garden, when presumably he was stricken with a heart attack, to which succumbed. He was found later in the garden by his daughter.

Mr. Renwick was born in Chicago on May 24, 1883, his foster parents being Mr. and Mrs. Robert Renwick of Maple Park. He came to Maple Park as a young lad, here growing to mature years. On May 2, 1910, he was united in marriage to Mary Glidden of DeKalb, they making their home in the vicinity for a number of years. The decedent was employed in Sycamore by the DeKalb Agricultural Association.

Mr. Renwick was a man greatly devoted to his home and family. He was also very friendly and was liked by all who knew him. His sudden passing will mourned in the home also in the community.

Surviving besides his grief stricken wife are four daughters, Mrs. Albert F. Tome of Pennsylvania. Mrs. Jack Hartman, Sycamore; Mrs. Kenneth Handschug, DeKalb, and Mrs. Richard Murdock, Sycamore, also three sons, Jack of Sycamore, Ross of Michigan and Lewis, who is serving in the United States Navy somewhere in the British Isles, and seven grand children, one being Frances Ann Tome, who has made her home with her late grandfather. One son, Jimmy, died in infancy.
