On page 138 of the Poage book it states:

John Poage Jr farmer b Dec 23 1757 d. near Staunton in 1827 md. Rebecca Ann Hopkins b. Jan 14 1765 dau of Jean Gordon and John Hopkins 10 childern Elizbeth was his 6 child.

His father was John Poage eldest son of Robert Poage and Elizabeth Preston.John Jr is brother of my my 4th ggrandfather Col William Poage.

I have the book and would be glad to share it. Just found another cousin You have a great family history to be proud of.
