The appointment is mentioned in The Timesof Sep 15, 1916, but the page is
hard to read.
Rev J B PANES (not too sure of initials) was appointed Rector of Torver,
Coniston, patrons - the PeacheTrustees. By 1924/5 the search was on for
new rector so he doesnt seem to have stayed very long. He is described as
`late of Masulipatam`, so perhaps hewas a missionary.
