The fourth child of John and Elizabeth Alexander McClung was born 22 May 1762 near Fairfield, VA. He was a farmer and a miller. He married 13 Nov 1788 to Mary Stuart. She was born 3 Mar 1769 and died 26 May 1842. They resided at Fairfield, VA and reared twelve children. John died 1 Sep 1830.
