John Marshall, b. by 1630 (apparently adult by 1651 [New London Hist 70, 71, 75]); on 25 June 1663 Edmond Marshall testified about "his brother John Marshall" [EQC 5:127]; on 29 September 1663, Edmond Marshall Jr. made a deposition in which he named his brother John Marshall [EQC 3:87]; on 25 November 1682, Benjamin Marshall deposed that"twenty-five or six years ago he lived upon the farm that John Downing now lives upon with his brother John Marshall and Edward [sic] Marshall" [EQC 8:408]; not named n his father's probate papers.
