Seeking info on John LUSK born 1705 (incorrectly states b. 1677 in Query) was living in Augusta cty in 1744, had a son Robert LUSK who was orphaned by 1751, became ward of Andrew HAYS who died 1786. also any info on Samual HAYS, 1759 and Patrick HAYS d. 1761.
1746 John Lusk d. 1746 Had a son Robert. [Andrew Hayes' bond as guardian of Robert Lusk, orphan of John Lusk. Order Book 4, page 75, dated 23 November 1753 in Rockbridge Co., Virginia]
Note from Motohays, July 2014, personal communication with Q 01:56, 9 July 2014 (UTC).
- Note from Mark Hays July 2014: I don't have the exact source reference but there are records of the marriage of John Lusk to Mira Hays. Some family trees have the full name of Mira as Elizabeth (Mira) Hays. I wondered whether the name could actually be Mary but this is complete conjecture.
- Robert Lusk is granted a marriage license in early 1764 and he also referenced as a soldier about the same time which puts his birth about 1743 which would make him about 8 years old when his grandfather John died and when his uncle Andrew adopted him.
