There is a John Lees listed in the Lieutenancy Register for the Parish of Ancrum on two occasions between 1797 and 1801. He appears on page 22 in 1797 as a servant at Longnewton (?) Mill. He also appears in 1799 as #37 on page 107 as a servant and is at somewhere that looks like "Narislaine".
