2 Oct 1888 - Bought Ormsby farm from John Ormsby (brother-in-law) 1889 - Bought the 50 acres to the south which had been James Ormsby’s Jr. Also had a farm in Bass Lake and when running both farms was too much, the family rented out the Ormsby farm for ten years and then used it as pasture. (p. 286) 1901 Canadian Census John G Langman, a farmer, is living in Oro, Simcoe County. The family’s religion is Methodist. John is living with his wife Elizabeth, 48, and his children: George N, 24, Mary I, 22, Eva E, 21, Allour H, 20, Louisa A, 19, John G, 17, Margaret E, 16, Richard W, 15, Herbert I, 13, Arthur R, 10 and Harry E, 5. 1911 Canadian Census John G Langman, 64, is living in Oro, Simcoe North.
