The SAR Revolutionary War Graves Register lists a

JOHN KING Birth: 1756 State of Service: PA Burial: Piney Flats, Sullivan TN

Looking for his wife's name. Was it Mary? Did he have a daughter named Mary Ann King, born 1777, who married William Campbell III? William and Mary King Campbell were married in TN and moved to Dallas County AL sometime before 1818. My notes have her father as John King and her grandfather as William King, of near Charlotte, NC. Mary King Campell is said to be a first cousin to John Crockett, father of Davey Crockett. In Crockett's autobiography there is said to be mention and a brief description of a childhood playmate named William Campbell who later married Mary Ann King, a first cousin to his father.

According to my notes, William Campbell III is the son of Capt. William Campbell II of the Revolutionary War. The SAR Revolutionary War Graves Register lists a Capt. William Campbell died 1810 buried Watauga River, TN. My Capt. William Campbell II married Mary Ellison.

My Dallas County AL Campbell and King Lines are said to have roots in Eastern TN. Could they be these two Revolutionary War Veterans? Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. All of my notes on these families are from other sources...I have no copies of original documents to support the notes.
