The following is based on a very useful rootsweb posting. I believe some or all of this information is also found in the "Ancestors of William James and Francis Stephenson Hutchins" by Richard D. Sears.

Administration of the estate of John Kent, Sr., of Newbury, deceased, was granted to John Kent, Jr. of Newbury, shipwright, eldest son of John Kent, Sr., mariner. The widow refused the administration. The inventory is labeled as the estate of Mr. John Kent, late of Newbury, mariner, whose decease was at Casco bay, August 10, 1703.
