The only sighting of John Gray is his burial on 18th September 1686 at Heckington in Lincolnshire, describing him as son of William Gray. There was a William and Issack or Isitt Gray having children in Heckington at that time, and some of the baptism entries thenabouts are very badly faded, such that John's baptism may be illegible.
