    From: Janie Davis <ddjdsd@sbcglobal.net> July 20, 2004 David, I sort of struck out and sort of didn't! The library yielded no obit for John Morion Gotcher. The Sweetwater Reporter is on microfilm; however, there was an October 23, 1916 issue and a November 6, 1916 issue, but nothing in between. There was no mention in either issue of Mr. Gotcher's death. A trip to the County Clerk's office was not fruitful either. There was no listing of John Morion or J.M. Gotcher under the death records up through 1993. These are the only deaths recorded in the time frame from 1915 to 1993: M.W. Gotcher - DOD 5/26/1929 Aubrey W. Gotcher - DOD 2/02/1938 James William Gotcher - DOD 8/09/1951 Sarah Lavina Gotcher - DOD 12/16/1957 Otis Gliden Gotcher - DOD 6/11/1984 Lora Lee Gotcher - DOD 12/18/1986.
