The Gibson family took up the tenancy at Auchenlosh Farm around 1744. The rent book for the farm with entries up until about 1820 is in my possession.

    John Gibson jr, the land surveyor, also had a voluntary position as Overseer of the Poor for the parish. He may have been the enumerator for this census. Note the amount of data included.

    The parentage of the "grandson", John Walker, is unknown.
