Ancestors and Descendants of Samuel French, the Joiner of Stratford, CT, (printed by Edwards Brothers,Inc., Ann Arbor, Michigan, 1940) by Mansfield Joseph French. About 1773 the Family removed from Stratford to the Town of Dorset, VT just north of Manchester Center. The Family were communicants of Zion Episcopal Church, Manchester Center, VT John may have been interested in the marble quarries in Dorset. He and his family are buried in Manchester Center Cemetery.
