Facts and Events
Name John Drake
Gender Male
Christening[1] 5 Mar 1826 Bere Ferrers, Devon, England

John Drake was baptised on 5th March 1826 at Bere Ferrers in Devon, son of Mary Drake, formerly Harris, and her husband John Drake, a husbandman and sexton.

John has yet to be traced definitively after his baptism. The most likely possibility is that he was the John Drake who married an Elizabeth and settled at Pepper Street in Bere Alston working as a shoemaker. However, as that John and Elizabeth's marriage record has not been found it is hard to confirm whether this is the right John.
