    Thursday, 14 Mar 1968, section 1, page 2JOHN CLAYBORNEJohn Clayborne, of Sumneytown, died in his home on Monday afternoon. He was 71 years, 4 months, and 26 days old. Born in Sumneytown, he was the son of the late Lee and Sophia (Schwager) Clayborne. A lifelong resident of this ares, he was a retired auto mechanic and had served in the United States Army during World War I. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 5954, in Red Hill, and of Post 184, American Legion. He is survived by four sisters: Mrs. Emma Downing, of Sumneytown; Hannah, wife of Edward Webster, of Norristown; Ann, wife of Thomas Bailey, of Ambler, and Mrs. Martha Baptiste, of Norristown, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Mann Funeral Home, 221 Main street, East Greenville, followed by interment at Frieden's Union Cemetery, Sumneytown. Viewing will be Friday evening. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Mann Funeral Home, East Greenville.
