Probated November 1809 Court, after witnesses acknowledged their signatures in Fayette County, Kentucky Court
Exec: son Robert and friend Robert Carlile Sr.
Beq: to son's son Robert forgiveness of a 38 pound debt if he pays his father's maintenance and funeral expenses
to grandsons John and Samuel Carlile, sons of Samuel, dec., equal shares in 600 acres in Kinhaway (Kanawha) Co., bought of John Evans.
to the grandsons 85 pounds, from a bond of 221 pounds due from son Robert, dating from 1799, and a note of 241 pounds 9 shilling 9 pence from son Robert dated April 17, 1799.
to granddaughters Elizabeth and Rachel, daughters of Samuel 25 pounds each from the 221 pound note, when they marry or come of age.
