Wife of John Cantley

Some researchers have said that the wife of John Cantley was an Eleanor Kincaid, but this appears to be in error. In the will of Samuel Lindsay, written in 1782, he named his daughter Erling [Elinor] Cantley, likely dis-proving her as a Kincaid. There may have been some confusion with this John's son John Cantley that DID marry a Kincaid.
